You’re driving down the highway, minding your own business, when suddenly a bright red Ferrari flies past you, easily clocking triple digits. “Dammit,” you think to yourself, “there’s never a cop around when you need one!”
There was on Tuesday on Oregon’s Highway 18 near Grand Ronde. Oregon State Police senior trooper David Peterson received a complaint about speeding exotics and subsequently saw not one, but five exotics fly past him. As he pulled out to pursue, a sixth shot by as well. On went the lights, and all six pulled over like “good little soldiers,” OSP spokesman Lt. Gregg Hastings told CNN. The drivers of the cars — an Acura NSX, Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari F40, Ferrari 599, Ferrari 430, and an unphotographed Ferrari — were cited for speed racing, a $627 fine. All said that they were on their way to an annual meet of exotic cars.
Apparently, the Lambo driver (wouldn’t you know), still couldn’t be patient, and was pulled over again by another trooper for the exact same violation. Some people just never learn.
